At Midvale Primary School, our factions Avon, Helena and Swan come together like rivers flowing into the sea, united in building a strong and vibrant community.
Avon
Inspired by the Avon River
Named after the Avon River, which flows through the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. The Avon is well-known for its annual Avon Descent, a challenging white-water race. This faction symbolises strength, resilience and the spirit of adventure.
Helena
Inspired by the Helena River
Helena faction takes its name from the Helena River, which feeds into the Swan River. The river is vital for local wildlife and ecosystems, representing growth, sustainability and the nurturing of life. Helena embodies care, responsibility, and a sense of community.
Swan
Inspired by the Swan River
The Swan River is one of Perth’s most iconic waterways, flowing through the heart of the city. It is rich in cultural significance for the Noongar people and central to the Whadjuk land. The Swan represents unity, heritage and leadership.
